Finally I actually have the time to properly draft out a decent post for this topic, I would have to admit I have been putting off on writing on this matter either because I don't know where to start or thoroughly enjoyed my weekend the way every working class person in Malaysia would have done (sleep till late afternoon, starfish style).
Nevertheless, I remembered exactly on how I started my relationship with Nuffnang. It was a bright sunny morning in December 2009, which was pretty much around the time when I decided to get into the whole blogging world. Back then, I had no clue on what I needed to do to get myself seen in blogs, TeamTehTarik never did exist back then and lord knows what I was writing before. However, much to the persuasion of what was to be the future members of TeamTehTarik, bloggers CerealCheryl and Miss Ave T told me there is this community called Nuffnang.
Was I sceptical on this group when I first joined? You bet I was. There I was about commit to a new hobby which I would presume that it would not only be my outlet to all my ranting of topics in my brain but at the same time, my biggest fear was that would this be another conservative group that would shun my personality that is known either be too outrageous to some and maybe even too controversial for others to actually accept? Would this be another group that would in the end try to control or limit the things I do or say especially when it comes to the general public?
Regardless, I trusted the girls and I joined in the group as a newbie that didn't know anything. The rest, as they would say (albeit in the most cliché manner) is history.
So it has become that in the past two years since that faithful day I made my decision, my stories with Nuffnang has never been anything short of seriousness, crazy, wacky and sometimes even controversial moments, all jumbled up to what I have been exposed to for the past two years plus. Looking back to what I have experienced with the people in Nuffnang, sometimes I even wonder what the hell possessed me to even do that!
First, there were the line of competitions that I joined under Nuffnang. Fact of the day, if you give Mr. TehTarikDrinker any challenge posts that you want him to do, you bet your kabooz that I would take it to an extreme level.
In summary, can I sum up all the things I have been involved with Nuffnang over the past two years? well, I transformed myself into Michael Buble, bumped elbows with Digi people, organised a small gathering in Sabah, got together with friends from Innit and played with food, acted with BeautifulNara for a advert, sang my guts out for a singing competition, became Captain America, rubbed shoulders with blog celebs, attempted to get myself famous by singing, did a whole post with using only mobile phones, explained my love for cheese using Marvel Comic style, stepped on my own brother for a phone, watched a dozen movie on their premier showing dates, did an underwater post, pretended that the house is now infested with zombies, went to concerts, attempted to get myself sent to Europe again, made a "special someone" cry from the top of a four wheeler, and pretty much established not only among the bloggers but also from the people in Nuffnang that I will do the craziest things just to get myself seen in the community! :D
Then there was that time somewhere in October '10 where I was given the honor from Nuffnang to be the "Featured Blogger of the Month". Might sound menial to most of you famous people out there but for a average blogger like me, its the biggest gratitude you can get for all the work you have done in blogging, which is something that I will always be thankful for.

Might sound menial to most of you famous people out there but for a average blogger like me, its the biggest gratitude you can get for all the work you have done in blogging, which is something that I will always be thankful for.
And then there were those especially special moments that happen to me with Nuffnang, throughout the year, I was fortunate enough to be given the responsibility to lead of group of elite bloggers, calling ourselves GPlusMy, to some even more whackier activities throughout the year!
So for the year I had the opportunity with the group, I have managed to cramp myself on a badminton court, did a road trip to the north, supported a cause for female rights, almost died climbing a mountain, launched a summit for bloggers, tripped and almost falling over on skates with disco music on, charged will full on Orc arcry while trying to shoot a 8 year old girl with laser guns, and many many more things to come!
Along those times I have spent with Nuffnang, I too was given the opportunity to come up with some of the wackiest videos, either on my own accord or for the sake of competitions that I have participated over the years, which until today I still shake my head in wondering why in the world did I agree to do it. Nevertheless, there was never a single minute that I actually regretted doing it! :D
So now, after a two years being associated with them so far, its no surprise that I had a blast spending my time with these people and I would even dare say that I also speak on behalf of the rest of TeamTehTarik that it has been one hell of a ride with these people from Nuffnang and quite honestly, we don't intend to change anything from our associations to Nuffnang. Sure there were some stories that might be in the negative for the company but to my perspective on the matter, the people there have not only treated me with utter respect and dignity over al of their events as well as competitions that has been organised and perhaps this could be the reason why I am sticking with Nuffnang for my blog.
If you have been seeing similar posts as mine around town these days, its comes to no surprise that there is a certain buzz going around town about the upcoming Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2011. Come 16 December 2011, 500 bloggers from around the Asia-Pacific region will flock to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2011 in Putrajaya Marriott. The Awards aims to not only honour the region's best bloggers, but also to bring together blogger communities from across Asia-Pacific. The Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards is also sponsored by Volkswagen Malaysia and Putrajaya Marriott.
With the various awards being put for nomination that night, I would love to be there and actually enjoy the moment with the rest of the other bloggers there. Question is, would I see myself being nominated for a category that night? If there is even a tiniest chance for me to have a shot at a award, that would be the pinnacle of my blogging career to date to be honest with you....
See you guys there! And don't forget to dress your finest!
Nang this post if you like it guys! Thanks!
