Malaysian School of Crows

"STUDENTS at a co-ed secondary school in Rawang, Selangor, dread going to school every day knowing what awaits them when they step into the compound. Groups of boys randomly pounce on their schoolmates almost every day, demanding protection money ranging from RM8 to RM36."

Front page of the news today as I marvel in amazement of what has become of an education institution. Student within a school that has the audacity to actually bully, extort, vandalism, racketeering (which I am convinced has something to do with squash rackets.... :D ) and even to the extent of rape goes on a daily basis in the compounds of this school. Perhaps to most of us that many would never have dreamed, with the supposed timid culture to our society that we would one day see high school students to ever dare bring their actions to this level. In every way, it reminds me of a Japanese movie/comic, The Crows and how similar it is to this situation.

[ The Layout of the School ]

I understand the point that all schools will have their stories of bullies and gangs but this one takes the cake. I would also have to admit that during my school days, I did get myself involved in a few "bad boy" activities but never would I imagine myself doing what this high school students are doing. Including having links with some of the notorious gangs outside of school which does bring wonder to how far would students go this days.

My discussion on the matter is simple, to whom should we point our fingers to on this? Personally I would think that the handful of moronic students who got themselves into this fix should be blamed for their own actions. As I have read on what they do in school, I am quite certain that they are fully aware of their consequences as a normal adult and therefore should be treated as such. Loathed criminals as how they should be seen. By blaming any other people but themselves for this, we are doing nothing more than to create idiotic excuses for the actions of unruly students such as this and literally telling them that they CAN get away with anything.

Please do share your views on this. I would love to hear from you guys!

Nang if you like this post guys! Thanks!

  2. I thought this can easily handle by the Education Department or even the police only interfere when it repeated happening. Further counter measure was nothing been done......teaching seems too easy, look at it and the authority should shame with themselves.

  5. Gotta agree. You can complain influence, no parental guidance or whatever bullcrap you want to come up with but in the end, it's their choice. I have friends who gone through their shit but don't end up like them.
